We sang for the joy of singing

Anyone could join - you did not need to read music but just enjoy singing with others

People of all ages were welcome, men and women

Our singing style was Acappella - this means that we sang in a unique way without using backing music

We sang songs from all over the world - folk, traditional, cultural

We mostly sang in four-part harmonies and learned songs by ear

We used to meet every Tuesday evening during school term times at the New Milton Community Centre, Osborne Road, New Milton (you don't have to be a member of the Community Centre to join the choir)
